80s Metal Style Sonic Characters

Inspired by artwork by John Blanche and Mark Gibbons, which pulls heavy influence from 80s metal album covers, I challenged myself to draw characters from Sonic the Hedgehog in that gritty art style while still staying true to the franchise. My first attempt was the character Blaze the Cat.
